Christ Captioning

This item is coming soon.

"Christ Captioning" is a celluloid-based ode to the religious tracts of my Roman Catholic youth.

inspired by the small booklets that helped pass the time during interminable Sunday morning services, the zine recreates the Lord's Prayer through movie captions. presented with unprecedentedly low levels of irony, the zine simply documents the prayer's use over the last 80 years of film.

shoutout Dean A. Anderson, whose 2007 Blogspot post "The Lord's Prayer in Movies" did much of the heavy lifting

shoutout Chris Moody (@cchrismoodyy on instagram), whose 20025 zine "The Opening Scene" inspired the format

and lastly, shoutout Father Rick and the whole boring-ass crew at Saint Jospeh's Catholic Church
